Hello, we’re Scout Websites. Let’s go back to the humble beginnings of a laptop in a bedroom, because that’s where it all started!

Josh Diamond founded Scout Websites in 2012 with the aim of solving everyday problems for Scouts across the UK. Holding volunteer roles at Group, District, and at County-level, Josh was frustrated that there was no affordable solution to easily creating an on-brand website that was easy to update, and not to mention having multiple different systems running events and training, donations, subscriptions, calendars and shops, causing headaches for volunteers nationally.

Josh is now Assistant County Commissioner.

Fast forward to today and we’re now a team of designers, developers and project managers. We’re the global leading supplier of websites to The Scouts, and work closely with the associations themselves, having built a platform that is used by around 150,000+.

Our platform uses the WordPress content management system as it’s backbone, ensuring you’ve got an easy-to-update website. However, it’s all sat on a powerful infrastructure which means it uses a shared codebase.

This adds huge benefits: ensuring we’re all protected from cyber security risks, all of the organisations we work with are GDPR compliant, and everyone has access to the latest features and branding updates – so all you need to do is keep the content of your website up to date.
