Online Scout Manager (OSM) Integration

Update OSM and your website will be automatically updated as well, ensuring minimal time is required following launch.

For Groups: Waiting list feeds are included within the Plus, Premium and Pro plans. Events and programme feeds are included within the Premium and Pro plans.
For Districts: Waiting list feeds are included within the Plus, Premium and Pro plans. Events feeds are included within the Premium and Pro plans.
For Counties, Regions and Areas: Waiting list and events feeds are included within all projects.

95%+ of The Scouts in the UK use Online Scout Manager (OSM) to manage their administration. We’re proud to have partnered with OSM with full access to their API, allowing us to push and pull data between our two platforms.

Where data can be potentially duplicated or be incorrect, we’ve made sure we can directly pull this from your Online Scout Manager set-up. We’ve also ensured that we’ve automated any administration between your OSM set-up and your website.

We’re currently integrated with Online Scout Manager in three ways, and each of these is detailed below. Read on to see how our integration can save you time and keep your website up to date automatically.

Membership enquiries feeding into OSM

Useful for: Groups, Districts, Counties, Regions and Areas.
Your website will be the main recruiter of young people and potential volunteers. We see 100+ enquiries from new members every year through the average website we create for a Scout Group in the UK, and daily enquiries via websites for Districts, Counties, Regions and Areas. Most of these are driven directly from our location-based group finder tool. We’ve integrated with OSM to cut down administration time. When a new enquiry is made, it is automatically pushed into your waiting list set-up within OSM. This can be set up in many different ways and is different for Groups, Districts, Counties, Regions and Areas, so when it comes to the right time, we’ll discuss this with you and find which way suits you best.

Enquiries are fed directly into Online Scout Manager.

Event information feeding from OSM

Useful for: Groups, Districts, Counties, Regions and Areas.
Whether you’re running a Group Camp, a District Fun Day or a County-wide event, having this show on the website is excellent not only for existing members, parents and volunteers, but it also shows the wider public what is going on, which may encourage enquiries from potential new members or volunteers. We’ve made creating an event within your website very simple – it only takes a few clicks – however to save even more time, if an event is added to Online Scout Manager we can now feed it automatically to the website, meaning zero website administration is required. This can be set up in many different ways and is different for Groups, Districts, Counties, Regions and Areas, so when it comes to the right time, we’ll discuss this with you and find which way suits you best. You can also take bookings and payments for events via your website.

Programme information feeding from OSM

Useful for: Groups.
Adding your programme to Online Scout Manager has a huge amount of benefits, however it can be an even bigger benefit if the programme can be seen live on the website by members, parents and volunteers, and maybe even potential new members. We’ve integrated with OSM to allow you to pull your programme, per section, onto the sectional page on your website. The feed looks great, only shows future programme at any one time, and updates as you update your OSM account.
