Easter is just around the corner and we’re brimming with ideas on how you and your Scouts or Guides could have egg-cellent fun during this time of year!
Easter nests

Get cooking up a storm with a twist on classic chocolate crispy cakes.

Simply swap the Rice Crispies or Cornflakes for Shredded Wheat and top with mini chocolate eggs to make some delicious chocolate nests!

Egg hunt

Take a traditional egg hunt up a notch and turn it into a competition, with your Scouts focusing on teamwork to hunt down the hidden eggs.

You could also turn it into a bit of a map-reading adventure with clues, as long as you can remember where you hid them first!

Design an egg competition

Get crafty with this entertaining activity that is sure to go down a treat and can be done at home or during your weekly meeting.

For optimum creativity though, we recommend getting your Group to do this in their spare time.

Using hard boiled eggs, ask your groups to recreate their favourite tv shows or films, awarding a prize for the best – egg puns are welcome!

Egg & spoon race relay

This classic sports day past time is a great way to get the young ones moving.

You could even make it more fun by adding various obstacles, turning it into a relay where they have to transfer the egg from one person’s spoon to another or getting them to balance chocolate eggs on the spoons and if they succeed, they get to keep them!

Pin the tail on the bunny

Another classic game with a twist… Get your Group to draw a giant bunny, attach it to the wall and blindfold players with the aim of pinning the bunny’s tail in the correct place.
