Girlguiding Websites

Founded ten years ago by volunteers, Scout Websites have created the most used online website platform for the Scouts, now used by over 150,000+.

Since our inception, Girlguiding Counties, Girlguiding Divisions, Girlguiding Districts and Girlguiding Units have approached us, asking whether we have a version of our platform available for them, so we built exactly that.

Featuring an enormous amount of functionality, and building on our success working with the Scouts, our website platform can be used by any Girlguiding level in the UK. Our platform has been re-designed around the 2023 rebrand, adopting the new logos, colour palette, tone of voice and image library.

How does it work?

• Get in touch with us, letting us know the name of your Girlguiding organisation, and we’ll reach out to you with our pricing plans.
• Pick a plan that suits you best, and we’ll give you a pack designed to take to your executive committee.
• Book a call in with us to discuss any questions and get started.
• We’ll send you an invoice for a one-off set-up fee via email.
• We’ll give you access to our project management platform, where you’ll be given a list of things we need to get your website set up (we’ll keep it short, don’t worry).
• We work on a staging link where only you can see your new website before it goes live.
• Once you’re happy, and after any final tweaks, we’ll push it live onto your domain name.
• We handle all of the techy bits, including your domain name, DNS and hosting.
• You’ll receive a log in to WordPress, and we can hold a Zoom call to show you how it’s all updated (or you can read our PDF guides).

How long does it take?

We expect to turnaround your new website in around six weeks provided we’ve got the information we need from you. We will provide a quick and easy list of what we need right at the beginning. Don’t forget, we’ve created websites that are now used by over a third of the UK’s Scouts, so our process is very streamlined and we’ll be more than happy to help where you have questions.
