How 1st Shiremoor Scout Group rebranded their website

Towards the end of last year, 1st Shiremoor got in touch with us to find out what we could do for them in terms of building them a new website and improve their online presence.

Having originally showed interest in a new Scouts website, having entering our free website competition last year, we had been in talks with them for a number of months about their requirements for a brand new website.

1st Shiremoor, is home to over 60 young people from the area of North Tyneside. This year, the popular Scout Group celebrate their 70th anniversary. Having a website was an essential step in modernising their communications.

We worked with 1st Shiremoor over a number of months to build their website in the Skills for Life branding. Their new site is an online space that caters for their everyday and long term Scouting needs.

How their Scout Website came together

• The team at 1st Shiremoor provided all of the content in a highly organised manner, with a thread for each page and sub-pages grouped together. This meant that content was easily navigable by our team, and we knew exactly how 1st Shiremoor wanted their pages to form, resulting in a more efficient process which required fewer amends.
• By using a mix of high quality stock imagery provided by The Scouts along with their own Group photos, we have created a professional looking website which is sure to appeal to new & prospective members whilst being personal to leaders, members and parents.
• Taking advantage of our various tools and elements such as buttons, accordions and buckets streamline their website, improving user experience. This is especially useful for websites like 1st Shiremoor who’s website is content-heavy.
• Integrating with features like OSM help all of your systems work in harmony and benefit each other, automating things such as programme and events, and in turn reducing admin time.
